Thousands of low-income children in our programs rely on public school free lunch. For many of them, their school lunch and the meals they receive in our programs are their only food. The city is falling short of providing sufficient school lunch. Please sign the petition and help us win sustenance for all our children in need.
"It’s a struggle. For all the work we do and all the hours we put in, it’s kind of outrageous, but for me it’s not about how much money I’m making, it's that our agency does not have the necessary funding to make sure that we effectively serve these families. If I was given the right materials and the proper resources to do this work, the pay probably wouldn’t bother me as much. Unfortunately, the City doesn't provide the necessary funding. That adds insult to injury.” - Kyra Holiday, Foster Care Home Finder. We're working with our fellow nonprofits to demand a 12% increase in our city government contracts so we can empower staff like Kyra to give every resource available to the city's abused and neglected children. Join us in demanding #12for12 so we can #SustainOurSanctuary!
